God, finding a job sucks. This NY scam of unpaid internships is the biggest labor steal in the world. Sorry, but somehow i can't afford to work for free in a place with one of the most expensive cost of living! Besides, I happen to think my labor is valuable. I really want an art related job. I even started looking in mid February- to find that all the deadlines for museum jobs and etc had already passed. Seems a little early to me but a mistake I've forgiven myself for.

I interviewed at a gallery yesterday- it went pretty great, except for the fact that I found out that the position is unpaid. I mean, the job listing said, "salary commensurate with experience" which in my understanding, means a salary.

Anyway, so maybe I'll have a lot more time on my hands this summer...

I want to make myself a real website. Can anyone recommend good free hosting? Or even a template portfolio website that's a little more respectable than DA. (Not to diss anyone here but no, I wouldn't refer a potential employer to my DA account.) I was really into making websites when I was 12, 13 - mostly pokemon fansites. Hopefully I can figure out some html at least as well as I did then.
